Binoculars uses your android camera and full digital zoom to simulate a binocular effect. You can also take pictures and save them to your SD card. By far one of the best binocular apps around.
This app simply shows you a preview display from your rear facing camera with the digital zoom turned to full. So whether or not the magnification effect looks good will totally depend on your camera hardware. The higher the megapixels on your camera, the better the binocular effect will be. If the zoom camera on your phone sucks, then binoculars will probably suck too, sorry to say.
Binoculars can be handy when you are in a bind on a camping trip and you just don't have a real set available. Although it is no substitute for the real thing, binoculars are handy to have in a pinch. There are also several fun graphical overlays that you can use to give the effect a more authentic look. And of course you can take and save pictures of things you find out in the wild.
Let me know if you have suggestions on how to improve the app, because I am always looking to make it better! After all, this app is for you guys!
Binoculars is a totally free app, but users may wish to purchase a premium upgrade license which removes all in-app advertising and supports further development. Generally, the premium license can be purchased from each individual app store, but if you buy the license directly from Ape Apps, you will recieve a physical license key file that allows you to unlock the premium ad-free experience on every supported platform.
